SAINT LAURENT SS13

So, a lot has been written about Hedi Slimane and the fashion world (read juicy gossip) since he took over at Yves Saint Laurent, oops, sorry, Saint Laurent (should I add a “Paris” to that? Well, Style.com writes “Saint Laurent” so I’ll guess I stick to that). Since I’ve been bust writing the trend report for an upcoming issue of STYLEBY Iäve chosen not to report that much regarding the spring shows and trends here on the blog, at least not yet. I find it quite stressful to write about it in two different publications at the same time so this time I’ve put that aside a bit (but i WILL do a lot of posts on spring trends soon) and focused on other contents here since it’s easy to get a bit narrow minded if you’re only reporting on actual trends (at least both for the magasin and on the blog) even though my work for STYLEBY, freelance work and the blog sort of goes hand in hand with each other. BUT this wasn’t what we were going to talk about, was it? Back to Sain Laurent and the spring/summer collection. I must admit it didn’t get me blown away but I do like the mood that the collection portrays, this bohemian roch chic vibe that’s in there somewhere between the big hats and capes. What do you think?

Stunning. I love the drama of the black hats, covering the eyes. >> www.

The glue-on colourful leather-eyeliner from Spring 2015 as seen on Fendi has moved and got another texture. At Ohne Titel a caviar beaded plum eyeliner below the waterline was shown. While James Kaliardos, make-up artist at the Rodarte Fall 2105 show, chose a liner of Swarowski stones that he attached to the midsection below the waterline. […]

Far far away from 1 dollar festival shades, big arenas and printed tank tops, there’s a festival called Sónar and it’s a true celebration to music in it’s purest form. The festival started over two decades ago in Barcelona and this was the second time Stockholm had the honor to experience it, and yes it was […]

Even before the show, we knew that Alexander Wang Fall 2015 were going to rock the runway. He proved us right, but not the way we expected. The collection in general wasn’t so extreme. All the pieces wold definitely make it to a “real” persons wardrobe without standing out. Is Wang becoming discret and caring […]

Something happened to the Jason Wu aesthetic since the First Lady became a loyal customer to the American brand. Jason Wu has always been a master of creating sophistication, previously with a breeze of youth but for Fall 2015 his girl has clearly aged and became more mature. She is confident, strong and rich. Not […]

Oh Rodebjer, how do you manage to fulfill our effortless yet most extravagantly ordinary fashion week fantasies one season after another?
